Our principal and staff
Our school team is committed to every student’s learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging. We work together to create a supportive and inclusive school where every child is set up for success.
Welcome from our principal
We are very proud of our school and particularly proud of the achievements of our students in so many areas. We value Burwood Girls High School's strong academic tradition and are delighted with our updates facilities. Technology-based learning is thriving in classrooms. Our performing arts and sports programs become stronger each year.
We believe in striving for excellence and expect all students to develop a love for learning, a thirst for knowledge and enjoy the challenges in attaining their goals.
Our school community embraces the school motto 'Not for ourselves alone', and continues to celebrate cultural diversity, and value our contribution to others less fortunate. Students sponsor schools overseas as part of the ‘Hands Across the Ocean’ program largely through funds raised by the annual International day.

Learning support staff
Schools have an obligation to ensure that students with disability and additional learning and support needs can participate in education on the same basis as their peers at every stage of their school life. Our learning support staff work with teachers to make personalised adjustments for students. This means each child can take part fully in school life.
