School Opal Card

If you're a student aged 16 years or older and eligible for concessions, the Transport Concession Entitlement Card serves as proof of entitlement when using a Child/Youth Opal card within the Opal network or when traveling on child or concession fares in NSW.

If you travel on NSW Transport (bus, train or ferry) you must carry with you a concession entitlement card - this is in addition to your Opal card or ticket. If you are unable to show NSW Transport staff an entitlement card when requested, you may be asked to pay a fine.

The concession card is FREE and can be ordered from Mrs Jones, at the public reception area of the front office.

Parking

There is no on-site parking for parents or students, however the staff car park in Cheltenham Road is usually available to parents and visitors for school functions. There is street parking available around the school. Please observe parking signs. The car park in Queen Street is for authorised use only. Disabled parking is available and the school is equipped with lifts and ramps for ease of access.

Driving around the school

The 40km/hr school zones operate between 8am-9:30am and 2:30pm-4pm Monday to Friday. Parents driving students to and from school should be alert to parking signs around the school and observe the 40km/hr speed limit.

Students should always cross the road at marked crossings.

Getting to and from school safely

As a parent or carer, it’s your responsibility to get your child to and from school safely. Student safety is our priority.

Keep our school community safe by:

  • driving and parking safely, even if it means parking further away and walking the rest of the way to school
  • being a good role model
  • never calling your child from across the road
  • using the safest place to cross the road.

Subsidised school travel

Transport for NSW provides subsidies to assist school students.

  • The School Student Transport Scheme provides eligible students with free or subsidised travel on public transport between home and school.
  • The School Drive Subsidy may help towards the costs of driving children to school if you live in an area where there is no public transport.
